Caucus of Corruption: The Truth about the New Democratic Majority ORDER NOW!!! On Amazon, Barnes & Noble, or The Conservative Book Club
|
We are rapidly approaching the "thats all she wrote" point in the 2006 election as far as Nevada is concerned:
In the Governor's race, where the nominees won their primaries more narrowly, Republican U.S. Representative Jim Gibbons now leads Democratic Senate Minority Leader Dina Titus 49% to 35%. In July Gibbons led 46% to 37%.
Meanwhile, Ensign is leading the hapless Carter by 9 percentage points, according to this Rasmussen Survey. It is an amazing thing that in a closely balanced State like Nevada where one of the Senators is the elected leader of the Congressional Democrats, the Democratic Party cannot be more competitive for two of the three political brass rings in Nevada.
The question to ask ourselves now: is Nevada falling firmly in to the "red" political camp? We'll have a better feel for this after the lebislative results are known...if there is a swing to the GOP, especially in the Assembly, then it might be that Nevada has ceased to be a battleground political State.
